    Description

Here's a rare one - "Bound" - an original multimedia work by Amanda Louise Spayd.  This is an original piece from Amanda's 2013 "Migration" show (with Chris Ryniak) at the Stranger Factory gallery in Albuquerque.  I purchased this piece at the show on opening night.  The work measures 5 inches by 7 inches and has wooden spacer blocks and picture wire on the back, so it's ready to hang - no need for a frame.
This show was the first time Amanda formally exhibited her drawings and paintings, and the show sold out quickly.  The character is lacquered on top of what appears to be a hand-written letter.  Not surprisingly, given Amanda's love of detail, one can read "lonesome and blue", "I never met you", "plans we made", and what looks like "vanished away" in the letter behind the derpy little guy.  I also added a picture from the galler show.  You can see this piece in the upper left corner.
The piece is signed on the front and signed + dated on the back along with the title "Bound" in paint marker.  This work is a piece of outsider art history.  Shipping and insurance is free in the continental US.  All other locations, buyer pays shipping costs.  The starting price is below my original cost.
