Vintage  Skipper 1963  Mattel Barbie Redhead
This is the 1963 Skipper.  She is one of the first straight-leg Skippers to be made and it is believed these girls were made to test the concept of Barbie's younger sister before full production.  These dolls look a lot like regular straight-leg Skippers, but have more vivid makeup, more porcelain skin, thicker ankles, and no markings on their neck rim.  The word "JAPAN" written on the bottom of their foot from toe to heel and their feet are further apart
