Description

We are offering this hard to find "Peacock and Wild Rose", pink, covered, pedestal bowl that is described as a "candy dish with cover" in reference books.  It was made between 1929 and 1930 by Paden City Glass Company, and it is also referred to as "Nora Bird" or "Pheasant Line". It measures approximately 7 inches tall by 6-1/2 inches in diameter.
The bottom bowl is in very good condition with no cloudiness, scratches, cracks or chipping. The lid is likewise in good condition, but the outermost perimeter has some small rough spots or chips, mostly on the underneath side. Two of these spots are typical raised mold lines.
The rest are typical of edge roughness found in 90 year old depression glass which could be minor chipping or mold defects.  We attempted to photograph some of the rim issues (see Photos 8 thru 12). We urge you to carefully examine the photos with magnification, and make your own judgement before making an offer.
We've had the piece displayed for 25 years and did not notice these issues until recent close examination.
If you are looking for a piece to display, these issues are mostly hidden and do not detract from the overall appearance.
The item will be carefully boxed and packaged with bubble wrap. It will be shipped with 3-5 day USPS Priority Mail within 2 days of payment confirmation.
Thank you for your interest.
