    Description

    Up for your consideration is a Mats Jonasson (of Sweden) full lead crystal paperweight or sculpture with an image of a reindeer, deer, or elk carved into the back side. The front surface is smooth which allows you to view
    the image
    .
    The amount of detail in this paperweight or sculpture is incredible. The sides have a frosted finish.
    The sculpture comes with a small illustrated brochure that reads:
    "Welcome! ... to the World Wide Fraternity of discerning Collectors of Mats Jonasson Wildlife crystal. If you are already a Collector of his original studies in full lead crystal, Congratulations again on another good choice!
    This piece has been made by hand at the Maleras Glassworks, founded in 1890, which is situated in southern Sweden amidst dense pine forests. Maleras produce full lead crystal only, and the clarity and quality of their crystal is recognized all over the world."
    The same message is repeated in different languages.
    The paperweight or sculpture stands 5 7/8 inches tall, measures 7 1/4 inches across, and weighs 3 pound, 11 1/2 ounces.
    The bottom is signed by hand: Mats Jonasson Sweden 2299.
    The paperweight is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are some very faint scratches on the base (see the last photo).
