Description

Josephine Harrison Chaudoin conceived a technique in collage using fine fabrics and  some paint to achieve a unique three dimensional effect.
In 1996 she created images symbolizing "The Old Era and the New Era".
She worked and spoke for the purpose of raising money to heighten awareness of the problems of the world's children.
This piece called "Santa's Rice" was chosen for reproduction as a Christmas Card in the Save The Children compaign  (Michel Jackson foundation)
It shows  a small black child holding a plate to catch rice from Santa's bag.
The rice is real, the fabrics are mixtures of  fine nettings, cottons, felts and burlap for Santa's  bag.
The poster board  is encased with a wood frame  measureing 26X21X2 with a glass front.
The piece is  signed by Josephine Chaudoin from whom I personally purchased it in 2000.
She can be researched  on the internet, as a world traveler, an Artist, a Writer, and a Humanitarian.
