These antlers come from Southern Utah Mountain Ranges and are naturally colored.
Grading Template
Grade #1- Premium Brown: Picked up within 1 month of the animal shedding the antler.
Grade #2- Brown: Antler with light fading.  Picked up within 2-10 months of shedding.
Grade #3- Hard White: Picked up one year after shedding the antler.
Grade #4- White: Picked up 2-4 years after shedding the antler.  Will have some cracking and light chalking.
Grade #5- Chalk: Picked up 5+ years after shedding.  Will have cracks and chalking.  May also have pink coloring.
Antler Density
This is relative to the thickness of the outer core of the antler tine or main beam.  I have color coded a picture for your convenience in choosing a dog chew or craft piece.  No two antlers are created equal and will vary on antler density; for this purpose, we include a side cut picture of the antler.  The thicker the outer wall, the more dense the piece will be.

Blue: The largest part of the antler, and has the most bone density.  These are usually split due to the size, and will give many hours of chewing enjoyment for aggressive chewing dogs.
Purple: Perfect for aggressive chewing dogs.  These antlers can be cut into smaller pieces or left longer.  The main beam portion can be cut in half or fourths to allow access to the inner, softer core that dogs love.  These pieces can be used as knife handle blanks as well.
Green: This portion is ideal for large to medium moderate chewing dogs.  They can also be split in half and quarters and used for smaller dogs.  These cuts are more oval in shape and can make nice knife handle blanks for larger, wider handle pieces.
Red: The top end of the antler.  These pieces are lighter and ideal for moderate to softer chewing dogs.  An aggressive chewing dog would chew these down quickly, but love them none the less. These lighter antlers would also be ideal for puppies.
