Simple to install. Basically like putting the waterbed bladder inside a sleeping bag.
Heater remains on the plywood.
Cover is placed over the heater. Breathable bottom does not interfere with the function of the heater.
Inner shell has an additional vinyl safety liner. Use your existing outer stand-up liner for added safety.
Place waterbed mattress inside liner/cover and fill as usual.
Zip up the cover and you're ready to make the bed. Placing sheets is now much easier since you can tuck them around the cover.
Getting in and out of bed also becomes easier with the added foam sides.
Another major advantage is your heater will not run as much. You'll save a few dollars each month and over time the cover will actually pay for itself.
You'll also have much less wear and tear on your mattress since you have the buffer of the cover between you and the vinyl mattress.
The cover, once it's zipped closed, gives the look of a regular mattress inside your waterbed frame, along with the comfort of a softside style waterbed.
Finally, the cover will add support and help reduce the wave motion.
