19th century Italian Trompe L'Oeil Collages

Description

A pair of Italian Trompe L'Oeil Collage studies consisting of original water color paintings, drawings and engravings with original music scores and old correspondence on a Faux Bois ground.  Some of the elements are fixed by virtue of a through and through collage method as shown in the versos.  Some discoloration and minor deterioration but in overall excellent condition.  What is remarkable about these pieces is the esthetic of abstraction for the time.
